I have dedicated my life to inspiring the lives of young people. I have achieved, in my life through my hard work and goal setting, I am dyslexic which has never stopped me achieving in my life. I have used my martial arts and discipline to give me more focus. Which has helped me to be more successful. A personal interest of mine is to be able to help young people achieve, in their lives, where I am able to turn a very negative young person into a positive young person who then intern wants to achieve in their life. Career summary Current employment - Recent Job Title change to Careers Adviser The Assistant to the Careers Co-ordinator I am the first port of call for students seeking careers and HE advice. The role involves dealing with the administration of the department, providing advice and information, organise the Progression Events and advertising forthcoming events. It involves helping students with personal statements, UCAS applications, CVs, job applications and interview skills. I take group talks to staff and students for general career information and Talks on how to use careers Software. Implementing careers software, updating college website and information for students. I conduct careers interviews for many students at the college. I arrange work placements for students with many contacts I have made in the area. I arrange residential trip, I also organise workshops for young people when working with different organisations. I am also a college tutor, where I hold tutor periods and monitor my tutees. Next year will be developing my class room skills and one on one tutor skills by continuing with my tutor group. I am an emergency first Aider at the college. I arrange and run two enrichment activities kick boxing and boxing. Where I am qualified boxing tutor. Which I see gives many students More focus to their studies and gives them a healthier life style.
