About Sam McLeod
I've arrived at my current role leading global benefits for a fast growing SaaS company via successful careers as a Bay Area HR consultant and an Aussie lawyer. Growing up and studying in the Australian Capital, I worked for several years in the public sector, both as a consultant and as an employee. After graduating, I moved to Melbourne to pursue a career in the private sector and from 2010 worked as an in-house commercial and financial services lawyer at Mercer, a global consulting firm. After taking a dream year-long sabbatical to travel the world, my wife (Cindy) and I moved to the US, where I rejoined Mercer as a Health and Benefits consultant in the San Francisco office. In November 2017, following the birth of our first daughter, I accepted a role leading Benefits at Procore, which allowed our growing family to move to Cindy's home town (Santa Barbara). Adept at building strong working relationships, I welcome new challenges and excel in roles requiring me to solve complex problems. Outside of work hours, I enjoy family time, travelling, skiing, cooking good food and eating better food.
