About Sam Morton

I am currently the HR Manager at Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary and prior to this the National HR Manager (Physiotherapy) at Healthia Ltd (HLA) and before that, held the position of National HR Manager of Greencross Vets (GXL) for 11 years. In addition to nearly 20 years of National HR experience, developing corporate business strategies and partnerships, I also managed the National Petbarn Foundation. I have completed a Post Graduate Business qualification, majoring in Philanthropy and Not-for-Profit (NFP) through ACPNS at QUT. Over the last 30 years’ I have combined my expertise in HR leadership, business management, governance and compliance to drive various strategic initiatives, such as designing, developing and implementing a 1-5 year roadmap in a newly developed start-up role as Petbarn Foundation’s first dedicated manager. My strong communication, leadership and interpersonal skills have enabled me to develop and leverage valuable partnerships with key stakeholders, including securing the engagement and support of Board members as well as high profile NFPs and charities such as the RSPCA, Soldier On & Seeing Eye Dogs. I am passionate about providing HR and philanthropic leadership. I add value to profit and NFP businesses and foundations by developing and implementing innovative strategies, successful initiatives and powerful communication campaigns / strategies that focus on optimising career paths, HR policies and procedures, brand exposure and increasing fundraising revenue.
