About Sam Murray-Hinde

Described in Legal 500 as 'exceptionally good, commercially astute, savvy and personable','absolutely superb','good with clients','technically excellent' and 'very good company'(the latter being perhaps my favourite). I provide strategic commercial advice to a diverse range of clients on all aspects of employment law, with particular expertise in the transport sector and sport sector (where I also sit on and chair disciplinary panels and safeguarding investigations). I am also robust at helping clients deal with employee issues in a unionised environment, where I have extensive experience. I am experienced in dealing with insolvency-related matters, particularly those involving TUPE, advising on risk and providing practical solutions in difficult, fast-paced situations. I have a specialism in tribunal and court proceedings, covering all areas of claim, which hugely assists with my non-contentious practice, which includes general advisory, contractual and policy reviews and drafting; IR35, exit strategies and settlement agreements, team moves and restrictive covenants. In relation to corporate support, I assist on the employment aspects of commercial deals, helping to structure and complete pre-packs, administrations, mergers and acquisitions, management buy-outs and real estate transactions. I regularly provide bespoke interactive training to clients and provide articles for various publications and the media. I am a member of the Employment Lawyers Association and the German-British Chamber of Industry & Commerce. I speak German, having studied Law and German at university and having also spent a year working in a German law firm.
