About Sam Peterson

In my time working as an external auditor I have worked on a variety of clients in many different industries. These range from technology to construction companies, with many others in between. My expertise is mostly in relation to FRS 102 accounting standards. I also have experience auditing charities and completing grant audits. During my years training, I had the opportunity to complete non-audit work in other departments. Therefore, alongside my audit experience, I have also prepared sets of financial statements from scratch, drafted tax computations, prepared management accounts and I am also able to IXBRL tag financial statements for HMRC and Companies House. I started my accountancy qualifications doing AAT level 3 in which I achieved 94% overall. From there I moved on to ACA, which I completed and qualified in Summer 2022.(Admitted to the ICAEW January 2023) My current role involves me leading an audit engagement from planning to completion, managing and helping to train a team of assistants whilst keeping the Manager informed every step of the way. This is also coupled with ensuring there is effective communication with external stakeholders and ensuring the service provided to the client is of an excellent standard.
