About Sam Prososki

I earned my Bachelors of Science in Psychology from the Emporia State University and studied Clinical Psychology as a graduate student while working as a case manager for adolescents and young adults. I began my career in mental health and education as a Peer Educator for the University of Kansas, where I led presentations for classes of 300+ students focused on mental health, stress and ways to cope with the demands of college. After moving to Oregon I worked as a Wilderness Therapy Guide focusing on processing trauma while helping students master the tools and resiliency to successfully navigate their challenges. I then became certified as a Behavioral Change and Neuro Coach working with young adults at a College Program. When the program shut down, I saw the need for more services for college students, and developed my own in order to continue supporting those students. Trained in active listening and cultural diverseness, I appreciate each student’s need to be understood and respected as an individual. This combined with my experience working with young adults who need support, a commitment to a strength based approach and a positive with a fun personality allow me to foster a strong and trusting connection with my clients. My passions include, backpacking, bouldering, music, video games, biking, weightlifting, and endurance sports. I enjoy trying new things consistently and believe challenging myself to do hard things is what helps me grow as an individual. I am passionate about helping others along my way to helping myself grow my own character.
