About Sam Rigby

Bridging academic excellence with practical cybersecurity expertise. At just 22, I have been fortunate to gain substantial hands-on, in-field experience in live cyber situations, developing my knowledge and broadening my skills. My time at university could not, by any means, be considered to be conventional. While studying for a degree in Computer Science and Cybersecurity, I was employed on a consultancy basis by an international cybersecurity company. During this time, I regularly participated in live cybersecurity operations alongside overseas military and public sector personnel. With a focus on prevention, preparation and protection, my work ranged from vulnerability assessment to threat intelligence, network implementation to penetration testing, risk management to incident response and information security to malware analysis. Since graduating with First-Class honours, I have continued to work with Siker on a full-time basis as a senior cyber analyst, applying my theoretical knowledge and technical skills to legitimate contexts, providing tailored solutions to mitigate risks and safeguard clients' assets across global sectors including military, nuclear energy and public services. I work equally between the UK and on-site at client operations throughout The Middle East and across the globe. My role is focused on safeguarding organisational assets by conducting comprehensive risk assessments, detecting and identifying vulnerabilities, assessing potential threats and recommending mitigating strategies. I manage all technical aspects, including building and developing networks, analysing and investigating suspicious activities. I hold a British passport and currently split my time between Banbury in North Oxfordshire and El Gouna in the south of Egypt. I enjoy travel, indoor climbing, padel, scuba diving, wakeboarding and gaming, and I am learning to speak Arabic.
