About Sam Roesch

I'm a builder at heart — of products, teams, and systems. I lead Product Development for KPMG Canada Tax, where I oversee a 130-person team spanning product, design, engineering, customer success, and sales. Together, we’ve gone from a small team and the seed of an idea and grown it into a core part of how KPMG delivers tax work across Canada, with thousands of internal and client users (and growing fast). My background blends engineering, software, and operations. I studied mechanical engineering at Queen’s, spent my early years in the machine shop (shoutout to Baja SAE and high school robotics), and cut my teeth in consulting, helping manufacturers and defense contractors solve problems. Along the way, I helped launch a SaaS company focused on real-time shop floor productivity (livetracking.io). These days, I’m changing how professional services work gets done — moving from spreadsheets and email to scalable systems and automation, with user experience at the center. I thrive in roles where I get to solve impossible problems, work across disciplines, and turn pain-points into happiness. Always up for a chat if you’re building things.
