Background

About Sam Rosser

I am an EYFS consultant with many years of experience in supporting schools to develop and embed pedagogically sound practices in Nursery and Reception classes. I have been closely involved with the development of the EYFS Reforms agenda and have led many training sessions recently on the implementation of the new EYFS, implications for schools particularly with regard to assessment, planning, daily routines and developing the EYFS environment. I have worked with many schools to review and develop transition from EYFS to Year 1, to implement a model that meets children’s learning styles and needs. As well as working with individual schools to identify their unique needs and help them to find solutions, I also facilitate group sessions focussing on a variety of topics (including: national updates, assessment, resources, the learning environment, the role of the EYFS Lead and other themes). As a long standing Early Years Ofsted inspector the demands of the Ofsted Inspection framework form a key focus in all my school support, however my motivation for achieving the highest quality EYFS practice in schools remains sighted on providing the best learning opportunities for every child, regardless of their starting points.
