I am a proven national security leader and risk management professional with 20+ years of experience representing the Australian Government. I have extensive global experience, specialising in national security, threat assessment, risk management, crisis response, and contingency planning. As a trusted senior advisor to government decision-makers on security, defence and foreign policy, I possess a comprehensive understanding of geopolitics and regional affairs. My expertise enables me to effectively assess the impact of these factors on operational strategies and manage geostrategic and sovereign risk. With extensive experience representing Australia on the international stage, I have successfully led advocacy and negotiations with senior stakeholders across Southeast Asia and the Middle East to advance Australia’s interests on key national security and foreign policy objectives. I have successfully built and led multidisciplinary teams in various locations, having delivered high impact operational outcomes in complex, permissive and non-permissive environments. I have developed exceptional client facing relationship building, stakeholder management, negotiation, and corporate communication skills, especially at the senior government and executive levels. I hold an MBA from the University of South Australia, and I speak 6 languages.
