About Sam Schumer

As General Counsel of Blueprint Healthcare Real Estate Advisors, Sam provides oversight and management of all legal and strategic aspects of Blueprint’s operations and governance. Prior to joining Blueprint in his full-time role, Sam served as the company's primary outside counsel for several years. In addition to his position at Blueprint, Sam owns and operates a boutique law firm, Clark Street Law LLC, which handles legal matters for a select group of clients primarily focused in the commerical real estate and finance sectors. With Clark Street Law, Sam regularly represents real estate developers, landlords, tenants, property managers, brokerages, contractors and tradesmen, receivers, banks, and private lenders in all aspects of their businesses. This includes handling courtroom matters, negotiating deal terms, and drafting the full spectrum of documents required to acquire, invest in, develop, operate, finance, lease, and divest real estate assets. Throughout his career, Sam has been repeatedly recognized by Super Lawyers and Leading Lawyers on account of his high degree of peer recognition and professional achievement within the legal industry. Sam obtained his B.A from the University of Colorado and his J.D from the University of Illinois Chicago School of Law, and he is licensed to practice law in the State of Illinois, the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit.
