Workshop leader, facilitator, consultant in areas of project management, estimating, risk management and allied areas. Areas of Interest Project Management Over the past twenty four years, I have conducted training workshops in fundamental project management techniques as well as at advanced levels covering topics such as project acceleration, estimating techniques, earned value analysis, optimal resource scheduling, agile methodologies as well as monitoring and control processes. Decision-Making Over the past eight years I have immersed myself in decision-making processes and techniques, focusing on the executive and senior management levels. These have direct applicability in all areas of management. This work has taken the form of training workshops, consultation and decision facilitation. My experience has included those relating to strategic planning, portfolio management (project selection under budgetary or other constraints), and resource allocation among many others. Decision Facilitation In this realm I assist senior decision teams as they work toward important and frequently complex decisions. This provides them with a common framework within which they examine issues, decompose them into management sub-decisions, delegate experts purposefully and prioritise in an effective, transparent and justifiable manner. Strategic Planning With colleagues, I am current developing a broader business planning process which integrates strategic planning, decision making and project management. This ensures that visions lead to goals which in turn lead to the identification of actions. These are then carefully selected to maximize strategic value while satisfying budgetary and other constraints.
