About Sam Silverstein

As the Head of Software Engineering at Scribenote, I lead a dynamic engineering team that develops and scales a product that enriches the lives of workers in the veterinary space. Scribenote is a platform that automates the transcription and analysis of medical records, using AI and natural language processing. I oversee the development of multiple features from planning to production, growing the product from 300 to over medical records produced every day, and growing! I execute long-term development roadmaps, enforce best practice coding standards, and embed observability and smart, sustainable features throughout the engineering life cycle. I also leverage several cloud-based services, such as Kafka, Redis, OpenTelemetry, Elasticsearch, and S3, to enhance the performance and reliability of the system. I have a strong background in software engineering, with a BSc in Computer Science from Western University and a previous experience as a Software Engineer at SailPoint, where I contributed to large scale distributed systems and mentored new colleagues. I am passionate about building innovative and impactful solutions that solve real-world problems and deliver value to customers. I am always eager to learn new technologies, collaborate with diverse teams, and challenge myself to grow as a leader and a developer.
