About Sam Sofer

Applying my background in chemical engineering and biotechnology, I have made it my mission to help heal our planet and foster a cleaner, healthier environment for its inhabitants. Our environment and the air we breathe affects our health, comfort, and well-being. With that in mind—and with growing concerns worldwide about airborne pathogens—I developed BioOx®, the world’s first biological air cleaner, with applications across a broad array of industries. This patented bioreactor uses microorganisms to scrub, bio-oxidize and destroy airborne contaminants, just the way our planet does—safely and naturally—eliminating dangerous viruses and bacteria, VOCs, allergens, and unpleasant odors caused by chemicals. Case Example: BioOx® units create a safer, more comfortable environment throughout Rutgers University’s Hospital. My background My career includes years of teaching and research at the university level, and as a chemical plant process engineer. Today, I am the president of two companies that specialize in biological processes and bioreactor design, with applications in medicine, energy, education, agriculture, and the environment. I also hold two U.S. patents and more than 30 international patents. Throughout my career, I have also: Developed, patented, manufactured, globally marketed the original biological residential air and water commercial bio-oxidation reactors Developed and patented biomedical instruments and test protocols related to boosting the immune system to fight diseases in humans, plants, and animals Manufactured a patented instrument that detects the ability to use oxygen for energy and disease healing in humans and animals
