Experienced Program Coordinator / Professor and mentor with a passion and drive needed to foster an effective and participative environment for faculty, staff and students in the teaching /learning process and is accountable for engaging all in the academic community. Well versed in planning and administration of resources and the development of industry partnerships. Attracting and developing talent, creating an engaging work environment, and managing performance to ensure faculty commitment to quality teaching and professional development With certificates in education focused primarily on adult education from Humber College, Durham College, Mohawk College and St. Clair College. A competent academic leader with a vision for faculty and staff to ensure a strong team environment and culture that fosters creativity, innovation, excellence, continuous improvement and interdisciplinary collaboration. • Participating in the recruitment and selection of full-time faculty. I have also sat on the panel to hire full time employees. • I am competent in College Curriculum development • I am confident in developing strong relationships with industry leaders, employers and other external stakeholders that support the success of School programs and create opportunities for students. • Being a strong communicator I excel in the role with high-profile campus initiatives and participating in a range of committees and groups that help set direction and policy for the broader college academic operations. • I have insight into the evaluation of existing courses and curriculum, revision or development of new courses and programs, and participating in program advisory meetings, program reviews, program accreditation and pathways initiatives. • Having worked closely with our school’s scheduler I am comfortable with time table development. Courses. • As a PC I have had experience with the School’s informal academic appeals process. • As a Union Steward I am knowledgeable with collective agreements and SWF’s. • I am eager to contributing to the College’s overall planning and development including priorities identified in the Academic Plan through active involvement in a variety of committees, and sub-committees. • Skilled negotiator as faculty dealing with management in union situations. • Able to complete and stick to a balanced budget • Formed Humber College’s first Program Advisory Committee for Plumbing, Post-Secondary and apprenticeship.
