About Sam Tomlinson

Whether we as the public know it or not, the media has a considerable impact on our day to day lives, helping us to understand the world around us all while shaping our viewpoints and opinions. From a young age, I have been extremely passionate about motorsport. At 15, I created a website covering news and stories within motorsports, primarily Formula One. Ever since, I have regularly written, edited and posted articles to share with the community online. I feel that every individual within the sport, past and present, has a story to tell and often lacks the voice to tell their story. Over this short period, I have developed a close relationship with young drivers and brands with the opportunity to interview them and bring fans like myself closer to their passion. It is safe to say that the feedback received from my articles has been a great motivation for me to pursue a career in journalism. Having moved on from my own site, TheF1Life, 2020 saw my career as I knew it change paths when I joined Grand Prix 247. A site with an established audience and an experienced team, a change of scenery was the logical career choice allowing me to broaden my horizons and think about the bigger picture. Now, my focus is on helping grow the Grand Prix 247 network, working on projects including an editorial role with Sim Race 247 and, now, the networks FIA Formula 2 editor.
