About Sam Verderber

I've always had a knack for numbers. When I was 8 years old, I was able to memorize which place every driver took in every race of every season in NASCAR. I believe I have the ability to memorize information at a quick pace, but I certainly don't overlook the social aspects and skills required for a successful career either. Over the past few years, I have gained professional experience in teamwork dependent settings. I have spent countless hours working at Augie's Pizza and Ribs, a local family owned restaurant, where a successful night relies on effectively communicating with coworkers and customers. I have analyzed databases, brainstormed ideas for hours, and collaborated with teammates on finding a solution for a problem that the Cleveland Clinic challenged over 145 Farmer School of Business teams with. As a result of our team's hard work and success, we were rewarded with one of the top 8 spots and the opportunity to present in front of a team of executives from the Cleveland Clinic at their headquarters in downtown Cleveland. After presenting, the executives discussed the implementation of our solution into their everyday operations and sent us forward as one of the Top 4 teams, where we presented to a team of the highest ranking Clinic executives. I believe that I can contribute to any professional setting because I am a great communicator, a better listener, a tireless worker, and I will always have a positive attitude. I would love to use my skillset and experiences to benefit a company, and hopefully one day, the world.
