I am a seasoned audit partner, providing audit services to large, complex listed and unlisted organisations for over twenty five years, fourteen years as a partner. The larger and more complex the business – the greater and more interesting the challenge. Former clients include: Toll Holdings (2001 - 2007), Pacific Brands (2009 - 2011), Sigma (2012 - 2015), Victoria Power Networks (2011 - 2020), Melbourne Airport (2014 - 2020), Ixom (2015 - 2019), Vitalharvest (2019 - 2021), Opthea (2015 - 2019), Medical Developments (2015 - 2019). Current clients include: MMG Limited, Sims Limited, Atlas Arteria and Team Global Express. My key attributes include: Invest in my teams – I am fully invested in the people that work in my teams. I set a high bar for them to meet our client service and quality objectives – and I balance this with coaching, empathy and humour to create high performing, safe and entertaining learning environments for my people. Fundamentally, this is the value and key differentiator we provide as an auditor. In the detail - I am in the detail across my clients and their audit files. Understanding that a business is far more than its financial reporting function, I completed an MBA in 2017 to assist build a broader and deeper understanding of businesses and the industries they operate in. Exceptional problem solver - Being an audit partner is not for the faint hearted. We deal with many complex problems day in day out. Identifying simple, pragmatic, timely solutions and decisively communicating and responding to these challenges is a core strength. Dedicated to my clients – My clients and the quality of the service we provide are critically important to me. We are a people business and we sell trust – so building personal and professional relationships with key finance and business leaders is a vital part, and the best part, of my role. From a personal perspective, I grew up in Warrnambool, am proud alumni of St Mary’s College (and the Clyde Hotel) at Melbourne University, married to Lisa with two beautiful girls and a little boy, a Carlton supporter, a passionate horse racing fan, an occasional golfer and a reader of good books.
