About Sam Walden

I graduated from Ball State University with an Elementary Education degree. I have taught this past year in two very different settings. I was able to teach sixth grade for a bit until being displaced to another school due to low enrollment numbers at the previous school. I then got the opportunity to teach fourth grade. I then was given the chance to teach in Zambia, Africa where I got to spend three wonderful months teaching at The Esther School. I taught specials at The Esther School in Zambia, Africa. As the Specials teacher for grades pre-kindergarten through sixth grade, I was responsible to plan, organize equipment and supplies, as well as teach all specials classes. Specials consists of physical education, music and art. As a Specials teacher at The Esther School, one of my primary tasks was to organize materials, equipment, and lessons prior to teaching each grade level. I found these duties quite fulfilling.
