Background

About Sam Whatley

Experienced financial professional with consultancy, executive and NED exposure across all 3 sectors - and expertise across strategic financial, commercial and governance areas. My roles have required me to navigate a range of environments; working both up to, and down from, Board level - with and without the benefit of formal powers. This builds a set of softer skills for understanding behaviours and how you need to work with people to effect change. Also, working as I have for a niche consultancy requires a constant focus on client/customer outcomes in order to get re-hired, and I tend to prefer and thrive in environments where there is a defined and time-bound challenge, problem or deliverable. I am a completer-finisher, but would prefer to then take on something new once the change or outcome has been delivered.
