I am an Honours Graduate in Journalism, with experience working in all aspects of online, print and radio media delivering the highest quality output in the most professional and reliable manner possible. Throughout my years working in a fast moving and challenging newsroom environment I have gained a strong aptitude for producing fast, accurate and original copy in addition to which I have played an integral part in production teams responsible for designing and editing some of Australia’s leading newspapers and magazines, working across a broad spectrum of current affairs, arts, sport and business matters. I am highly organised and have a keen attention to detail, which means that all of the tasks entrusted to me are invariably completed on time and to full specification. This general aptitude is supported by my strong technical management skills: I am always working hard to find new and innovative ways of enhancing standards. I also pride myself on being able to work quickly and effectively in appraising all of the potential issues and problems that might affect any aspect of the news platform as they arise, getting to understand them as best I can and working to find a solution without causing undue delay. Working very well as I do with teams of people of varying sizes, I obviously also greatly enjoy the collaborative process: getting everyone to move as effectively as possible towards the desired objective. It gives me great satisfaction to see everything coming together at the end of the day. I am a very good communicator and I have strong social and interpersonal skills.
