About Sam Whittingham

Recently graduated In Sustainable Product Design at Falmouth university, my skills focus on product ideation, development and what I often see as one of the key skills within design which is being able to communicate design proposal, concepts and solutions effectively be it through visual or verbal presentation. I also have a strong foundational skillset in teamwork and management which enables me to liaise constructively with the people I work with. With an education in product sustainability, I have a good understanding of the ways in which products that are designed have a knock-on effect through their entire life cycle. This background knowledge and experience gives me critical eye when looking at the design and manufacture processes of products. Now more than ever I feel that having a sustainability mindset is crucial and I see design at the front of creating positive environmental and social change, I ultimately aim to use my design and sustainability knowledge and integrate this into my design career. I am an enthusiastic person to be around with an open-minded outlook. When not working I enjoy staying fit, with particular interest in short and long-distance running. I attend music events throughout the year along with playing the guitar myself though far from being as good as I’d like to be.
