About Sam Wiggins

I have recently been successful in finishing my Masters degree in Sport Management at Loughborough University, undertaking modules in economics, accounting, HR management, strategic management, and sports governance. Consequently, I sought out opportunities to put these skills to use through work experience with SMARTWay Forward specialist training consultancy where I was introduced to sporting events operations and business development for various organisations within the sports, health, fitness and leisure industry. Also, working with Mongoose Sports and Entertainment Group, where I actively observed and engaged in brand proposals, commercial deals, and sponsorships with top-flight sports including professional football from the English Premier League and La Liga, global athletes, and various nationwide and global brands. Further enhancing my skills, I assisted in the research and analysis of rights holders and brands' commercial opportunities for successful partnership agreements. All these experiences have confirmed my passion for this industry and am eager to continue within this field. Additionally, during completing my undergraduate studies for a degree in Applied Sports Science at Loughborough achieving a 2:1 grade, I have been fortunate enough to complete a Kinesiology Taping & Strapping course and assist in coaching Williams F1 Esports drivers to further their development as athletes assisting in not only their sporting excellence but their personal development. Alongside my studies I am an athlete specialising in 800m track running, who has competed at County, Regional, National, and International level. The clubs in which I compete for are Shaftesbury Barnet Harriers AC & Loughborough Student Athletics Club.
