About Sam Willems

I’m a Belgian-based filmmaker, working at KU Leuven as project manager for audiovisual content creation. My music education has enabled me to communicate at a much more earnest level with myself, forcing honesty to become an absolute necessity. My fascination lies precisely in this internal conversation that happens within our brain. Not as a psychologist but as a creator mainly as an attempt to avoid repeating myself too often. Creating is all about communicating with oneself, recycling thoughts and producing ideas all while dealing with a gargantuan range of emotions curling in time. With a lot of beautiful failures on my list and a couple of small yet meaningful victories, I consider my journey far from over.
