About Sam Wolf
I am a PhD student of materials science and engineering at Iowa State University. My research is in magnetic materials, specifically magnetocaloric materials. I perform work in material design, characterization, and production (powder metallurgy). Bachelors degree in materials engineering with an emphasis on metals and polymers from Iowa State University. In addition to my current graduate studies, I have research experience from my employment as an undergraduate lab assistant at Ames Laboratory working with single crystal metals. In addition, I completed a co-op with SSAB Americas R&D facility in Montpelier, Iowa, where I completed several research projects relating to steel production and characterization. I have experience as a teaching assistant for both classroom and laboratory courses.
