Degree in Exercise Science and a minor in Health Promotions from Appalachian State University (2012) and a Bachelors degree in nursing from Winston Salem State University (2021, graduating with honors). Background includes 3 years clinical experience in the acute care setting. Specifically, I am skilled in trauma/emergency general surgery nursing. I worked at WFBH from August 2021 to December 2022, a travel nurse for AYA healthcare, and currently work on an orthopedic trauma floor at WFBH as well as float to a trauma/emergency surgery unit when needed. I am experienced and comfortable working in all aspects of medical surgical care/telemetry and IMCU care of the inpatient setting. As a team leader I prioritize clinical and cultural competence, ensuring that I adapt effectively to urgent situations while maintaining a focus on high-quality care. My experience in guiding and communicating with staff has been pivotal in enhancing team dynamics and improving patient outcomes. Additionally, my meticulous attention to detail helps me identify potential issues before they arise, further contributing to a safe and efficient healthcare environment. I am currently looking for a new opportunity in medical sales. I believe the experiences gained as an RN, gives me valuable insight into patient care, healthcare systems, and the needs of healthcare providers.
