About Sam Yu
Sam is the founding Partner of Long Venture Partners (LVP), an early and growth stage venture capital founded in 2016 focusing on Big Data and AI related investment in the Silicon Valley. Before LVP, Sam was a venture capitalist at SAIF Partners and CD Capital in China, and served as the co-president of the Young Venture Capitalist Club in Shanghai. Prior to this, Sam was a trainee of Financial Management Program and later an FP & A analyst at General Electric. Over the past 14 years, Sam has participated and led the investment of $132M in 47 companies of various stages and the total investment valuation is about $460M by Q1 of 2022. Signature deals include Bolt Financial, Amplitude (AMPL.Nasdaq), Firework, iRay Technology (688301.SZ), JCHX Mining (603979.SH), and Minsheng Bank (1988.HK). Sam holds an M.S. in Management from the Stanford Graduate School of Business and a B.S. in Applied Maths from Shanghai Jiao Tong University.
