About Samad Husain

I took a 50% pay cut to join LaunchGood as their first data hire. No team or dashboards. Just me and a mess of donor data nobody had time to touch. Four years later, that platform raised over $600M. The biggest lever wasn't acquiring more donors. It was retention. Getting more from the people who already believed in the mission. We figured out who was ready to give again before anyone asked. Spotted major gift prospects early. Knew which campaigns drove repeat giving and which ones burned money. All because the data was finally clean and in one place. Most nonprofits are sitting on the same opportunity and can't see it. Donor data scattered across a dozen tools, no real picture of retention, development teams spending half the week pulling reports instead of building relationships. Nearly 80% of first-time donors quietly disappear every year. Not because they stopped caring. Because nobody followed up at the right time. That's not a fundraising problem. That's a data problem. That's why I started Datstra Analytics. We bring the same data infrastructure that powered platforms like LaunchGood to nonprofits who've never had access to that level of tooling. Better data, better retention, more revenue. If that sounds like your world, send me a message.
