Hello! I have a Bachelor's in Business Administration with an Emphasis in Accounting and minor in Studio Arts from Texas Christian University and a Master of Accounting Degree from the University of Southern California. Besides my career as an accountant, I enjoy running my photography business because I love opportunities to develop good relationships with clients and learning new technological ways to edit photos."She is a unique combination of analytical and artistic" These were the words my thesis professor used to describe me during my departmental honors graduation. As an accounting major and studio arts minor, I was often informed that my two interests were impractical and incompatible in the "real world". Despite the pushback from college counselors and class scheduling faculty, I pursued these interests because of the joy that these subjects brought to me. It wasn't until I met my thesis supervisor that I found a mentor who understood the benefits of taking an interest in the arts and the business field, for he played a musical instrument and pursued his PhD in accounting. He inspired me to dive into data and research with an open and curious mind. Additionally, he taught me how to conjointly use these qualities to create quality products. I discovered from pursuing my passions that I serve to bridge the gap between the creative and logical minds in the business field. I've learned that one of my greatest strengths is collaborating with artistic (or big idea) individuals and businesspersons so that together we can find rational ways to make the innovative dreams come to life. This is a valuable asset to any company because analytical and artistic skills translate across various industries since change is necessary to be a competitive player in the market.
