About Samantha Rivera

I’m a Research Associate with a degree in Biochemical Engineering and hands-on experience in microbial gas fermentation, particularly using Continuous Stirred Tank Reactors (CSTRs). My work has focused on designing and executing experiments specifically in CSTR systems, as well as assisting with their sampling, operation, and maintenance. In addition to fermentation work, I’ve been responsible for a range of quality control tasks, including handling, analyzing, labeling, tracking, and managing the shipment of samples to external labs and potential customers. I'm also experienced in laboratory data organization and interpretation. Working closely with a synthetic biology team has expanded my knowledge of sequencing workflows and genetic modification techniques. I enjoy cross-functional collaboration, continuous learning, and I'm driven by a strong interest in innovative biological solutions.
