About Samantha Rollins

As a part of the Empowered Nurse Mentorship, I help new graduate nurses in their transition to practice. Teaching tools and tactics to handle pre-shift anxiety, self doubt, inter-disciplinary communication skills, stress management, and work/life balance are key for nurses to feel confident and happy in their place of work. Being a current critical care RN, I still see and feel the challenges that nurses go through every day, and work hard to create change for the profession. I am passionate about providing high quality critical care at the bedside, providing patient and family education, and making the patient feel safe and cared for during their stay in the hospital. Addressing the needs of the new graduate nurse population leads to happier staff, better staff retention, and ultimately, better patient care.
