About Samar Alam

Samar is an Associate in the Private Wealth team at Taylor Wessing, based in the firm’s Dubai office, with a particular focus on private client matters. She specialises in advising clients who have connections with the Middle East, although she works for clients on a global basis. She advises on a wide range of private client issues including UK tax advice, asset holding structures (including international trusts and DIFC / ADGM foundations), cross border succession and estate planning and UK and DIFC Wills. She acts predominantly for high-net-worth individuals (including trading families, global property investors and entrepreneurs), family offices and fiduciaries on private client advice matters. Samar completed her training contract at Macfarlanes in Private Client, Corporate and M&A, Banking & Finance and Litigation & Dispute Resolution. Before her legal career, Samar worked across various industries including finance, tech and consulting which has broadened her understanding and experience within corporate sectors. She is also passionate about start-ups, sustainability and equality.
