About Samara Allen

I originally studied a double major in history/archaeology due to my passion for the past and my drive to learn, conserve and preserve it. I worked as an assistant archaeologist alongside the mining industries and traditional owners until the economic downturn led to my being made redundant. I then took the opportunity to travel and explore other cultures before falling into a position with the travel industry. The travel industry gave me the opportunity to learn some new skills and work with passengers all over the world, meet a lot of new people and to continue travelling. I am now however looking to return to my chosen career path after a hiatus and continue my work with archaeology and heritage management. I am very passionate about cultural heritage and feel very strongly about taking an active part in the way that it changes over time.
