Currently working as a retail artist for MAC Cosmetics, however I am eager to join the Beauty Industry in an entry level role that will allow me the opportunity to work towards a career as a Beauty Assistant and/or Beauty Editor. I am interested in roles that include Creative Writing, Copywriting and/or PR & Marketing related roles. I am open to relocating to New York. I have a degree in BA (Hons) Beauty Promotion, obtained in 2019 from Southampton Solent University and experience as a Beauty Desk Intern at the following publications: ELLE, Cosmopolitan and Stylist. Within my current role working as a retail artist for MAC cosmetics, I have had the opportunity to explore and gain creative control over the social media accounts for my counter - this has allowed me to pursue my passion for writing within a smaller role - in the form of content creation and caption writing. It is a continuous career goal of mine to move into a career that will allow me to write creatively within the Beauty Industry, ideally within journalism - assistant/writer/copywriter etc, however I am also open to PR and Marketing roles also. My current level of experience, mainly obtained within my time at University includes the following- The ability to write product and trend review features and conceptualise creatively - Advertising & Editorial Imagery; understanding and having the ability to work on beauty shoots - Beauty & Editorial Writing - Trend Forecasting - Beauty & Fragrance Advertising - Global Perspectives; understanding and creating brand campaign launches - Digital & Editorial writing - Blogging as well as understanding various forms of media and how to adapt writing styles to suit the format- PR & Marketing In addition to the above, my experience also includes a personal beauty blog, where over the years I occasionally post product reviews to keep my passion for beauty writing alive.
