About Samara Minkin

Samara Minkin works with public and cultural institutions to craft strategic direction, guide board development, identify stakeholders, and create opportunities to present their vision. She supports leadership on special projects, managing difficult conversations, and building consensus. Previously, Minkin worked in the Office of the Mayor, City of Atlanta, where she launched the city's largest single investment in outdoor sculpture, installing nine landmark artworks by world-renowned artists. She led a variety of high-profile projects, worked on cultural policy, and convened public committees on the arts. During the height of the pandemic, Minkin led day-to-day operations for the City of Atlanta’s Covid-19 Vaccine Equity Outreach Campaign. Her team engaged with residents in hard-to-reach districts, knocked on doors, sent community navigators into housing complexes, and partnered with public health entities to bring the vaccine into neighborhoods. With a passion for art and city life, Minkin has held positions at the Smithsonian’s Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden in Washington, DC; the Israel Museum in Jerusalem; the Tel Aviv Museum; and the Studio Museum in Harlem, New York City.
