About Samara Show

I attended Thomas Jefferson University where I was educated in both MRI and Radiation Therapy. I greatly enjoyed both my coursework and clinical experience. When interviewing for entrance into the Radiation Therapy program the director asked me why I wanted to be a therapist. I explained, during my time as an MRI student I would scan some patients, that from the images were diagnosed with cancer. As an MRI tech that is where the story would end. I was not satisfied with this. I wanted to be there for the patient and help them along in their journey. I still stand by this reason and it is now a large reason why I love this career. During my clinical experience at Einstein Hospital, I had the privilege to work alongside skilled and caring Radiation Therapists. I learned not only the technical skills from them, but also highly compassionate and professional patient care skills. I was also taught how important it is to work as a team in this field. They all had such trust and respect for one another and that will always stick with me. I am now in a per diem position and look forward to a full time position in Radiation Therapist. I absolutely love my profession. I look forward to work each day.
