About Samarjeet Kumar

Samarjeet Kumar was born in 1993 at Bokaro Steel City. He is an academician with more than 5 years of experience in research and industry. He availed National Scholarship Scheme (Govt. of India) during his secondary education. He received his bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Kolhan University, Chaibasa, in 2014 with first-class distinction. He was the recipient of the batch topper scholarship during this period. He completed his Master of Technology in Mechanical Engineering from BIT Sindri, Dhanbad, in 2019. After his master’s degree, he joined as a Junior Technical Officer in the Electronic Manufacturing Services Division at Electronics Corporation of India Limited, A Govt. of India (Deptt. of Atomic Energy) Enterprise, Kolkata. He was selected for the National Doctoral Fellowship (NDF) to pursue the doctoral program. He has submitted his Ph.D. thesis under the supervision of Dr. Vishesh Ranjan Kar in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at NIT Jamshedpur, India. His research focuses on Thermo-mechanics, Heat transfer, Coupled behavior (Thermal-Structural-Electrical), Thermal energy storage/harvesting, Material modeling, and Optimization of heterogeneous materials.
