About Samarth Agarwal

First and foremost, I love writing code. Ever since writing my first program in C++, “Hello World” obviously, I have been obsessed with the idea of using software to solve practical problems. Software engineering is a never-ending quiz that I am truly eager to solve. I truly believe in the power of code and its capability to transform and improve the lives of people around the world. This passion carried me through my education at the University of Toronto. Here there were more resources that were available at my disposal. I studied algorithms, new languages, higher mathematics, and statistics, all with pretty much the same fascination that drove me as a kid. And it was here that I learned truly how much there was yet to learn. While my time in University, I became obsessed with hackathons and managed to attend 5 in one year, a record that I still have to defeat. Here I could explore the latest and greatest of what new and old companies had to offer. I even organized some to engage more people in the culture of hackathons. My specialties include quickly learning new skills and programming languages, problem-solving, and the Model View Controller (MVC) methods of organizing code. So far I have Python, C/C++, Java, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, ReactJS, Git/Github, and UNIX command-line scripting under my belt.
