As a seasoned Corporate Legal Counsel and certified director, I bring over a decade of diverse experience in advising on complex legal and commercial matters for some of Pakistan’s leading energy, infrastructure, and industrial organizations. My professional journey encompasses significant roles with Lucky Cement Limited, Sino Sindh Resources (a subsidiary of Shanghai Electric Group), Engro Corporation Limited, and Siddiqsons Energy Limited, providing me with a deep understanding of high-value transactions and the legal landscape across industries. I have led and executed landmark transactions, including the successful financial closure of a USD 1.2 billion mining and power project at Thar Block I and the negotiation of critical water use agreements for the survival of mining and power projects in Thar. My ability to manage multi-party negotiations and stakeholder alignment has been pivotal in steering transactions to completion while safeguarding commercial and legal interests. I have also been instrumental in finalizing critical project documents, such as EPC, O&M, and coal supply agreements, while effectively managing regulatory requirements and stakeholder coordination. In addition to my transactional expertise, I have led the development and implementation of company policies that uphold corporate ethics and foster inclusive and compliant workplaces, including anti-harassment policies. As a Company Secretary for multiple listed and private companies, I have strengthened corporate governance frameworks and regulatory compliance, fostering trust with shareholders and regulators. I am also a certified director by the Pakistan Institute of Corporate Governance, further bolstering my commitment to ethical and transparent business practices.
