Brief Profile of Dr. Sameer Gupta 1. Dr. Sameer Gupta, Director of The Business School, University of Jammu, is a management professional, having blend of experience in the public sector and the academia. He draws around twenty five years of experience in teaching and research at postgraduate level. Dr. Gupta did his MBA-Finance and Ph.D. in the Business Management from The Business School, University of Jammu. Dr. Gupta has attended as well as organized various national conferences, seminars, workshops; management development programs (MDPs) and faculty development programs (FDPs). He has presented papers in the various national conferences and also authored papers for national refereed journals like Indian Management, Survey etc. • He has been awarded gold medal for his research paper, which was adjudged the best paper at a National Seminar on Global Financial Crisis at University of Rajasthan, Jaipur, in Dec.2008. He has been the member of various professional bodies like All India management Association (AIMA), Indian Institute of Public Administration (IIPA) and CII. He has been resource person for workshops conducted by PSUs- NHPC, Power Grid Corporation, and Govt. Agencies viz. Comptroller and Auditor General of India (CAG), J&K Entrepreneurship Development Institute, Ministry of MSME, MSME Development Institute.
