About Sameer Jindal

I am a highly accomplished professional in the automotive industry with extensive experience in cost optimization, Value Analysis/Value Engineering (VAVE), Engineering and program management. In my current role as the Director of Cost Optimization and VAVE at MG Motor India Pvt. Ltd, I report directly to a Company Board Member and the Deputy Managing Director. I hold key positions within prominent industry organizations. I am proud to serve as the Co-Chair of the Connected Car Committee at the Society of Indian Automotive Manufacturers (SIAM) and as a Task Force Member at the Confederation of Indian Industries (CII). These roles provide me with the opportunity to contribute to industry advancement and the adoption of cutting-edge technologies. Throughout my career, I have led diverse teams and spearheaded impactful projects. A standout achievement was my pivotal role in the MG Hector program, where I achieved successful localization for over 700 assemblies in India and introduced innovative features like Internet connectivity and advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS). I am a firm believer in lifelong learning and personal development. In my spare time, I enjoy playing table tennis, reading and writing books, watching movies, and listening to music. I have authored two books,"When Life Kicks You Hard" and "From My Soul to Your Soul," featuring motivational quotes and life stories aimed at inspiring young individuals. I am passionate about electric vehicles and connected cars and am dedicated to shaping the future of the automotive industry. As a co-chairman of the Connected Vehicles Group at SIAM and a task force member at CII, I actively contribute to industry advancements and the development of future leaders. Presently, I am working on creating courses and labs for over 30 colleges across India to prepare the next generation of engineers for the automotive industry under the MG Nurture Program.I have also recently completed the certification of Independent Director from IICA - Indian Institute of corporate Affairs under MInistry of corporate affairs and now leading ESG - Environmental, Social and Governance program as well
