About Sameer Pimpale

As a Director at Acumen Business Catalyst, I have been the backbone of the organization. I lead the Consulting and Training Division at Acumen. I am delighted to be associated with Acumen for 22 years. My journey with Acumen began when, as a Consulting resource I worked on a consulting assignment that involved a diagnostic study for a Family Managed Business. This assignment provided an opportunity for both Acumen and me to explore synergies, assess compatibility, and for me to align my objectives. Over time, I became an integral part of the company and currently hold the position of Director. I worked on various consulting assignments involving Strategic Facilitation, Organisation restructuring, Process restructuring, HR restructuring, Competency Mapping, and Developing and running Assessment Centers nationally and internationally. I was fortunate to play a central role in projects involving training needs analysis, content development, training delivery, and training sustenance. Starting my career as a Sales Executive for Citihomes (a housing financial subsidiary of CitiBank) I soon realized that my heart lay in consulting and I changed tracks to become a management consultant. I have worked with the learning and development teams of several large conglomerates and standalone companies on content development and conducting workshops based on various competencies. The crux of these successful workshops has been creating custom content. I am a certified facilitator for Situational Leadership® and conduct leadership workshops across industries. I am also the Strategic Product Head for our partnership with the Centre for Leadership Studies, founded by Dr. Paul Hersey, for their original Situational Leadership® Model. I have delivered this model to a global audience. I am a trained assessor on the EFQM model for the business excellence award by CII (Confederation of Indian Industries), I am also certified in the interpretation and application of Hogan Assessments and can use these deeper interpretative techniques to understand individuals. I also relate to management students through the lectures which I conducted at Sydenham Institute of Management, Mumbai. I relish hobbies of wildlife photography, writing, and caricaturing.
