About Sameera Mohanathas

Dedicated to advancing Ontario’s healthcare system, I am a compassionate professional with a strong foundation in public service and healthcare management. I completed my Bachelor's and Master of Public Service degrees at the University of Waterloo, which instilled in me a deep commitment to public service and a desire to make a meaningful impact in healthcare. Currently, I work at the Ontario Ministry of Health, actively implementing and monitoring programs in hospitals across Ontario. My primary focus is on developing initiatives to increase recruitment and retention rates for nurses to ultimately support and empower our healthcare workforce. I recently completed my MBA and this accomplishment has strengthened my skills and knowledge to pursue leadership roles where I can influence positive change. I believe in the power of collaboration, empathy, and continuous improvement, and I am dedicated to making a lasting impact in the healthcare sector and beyond.
