I am passionate about quality and food safety! I love working within this area with the ever-changing market regulations, customer requirements, new trends, sustainability etc. I have 12+ years of experience within various sectors such as dairy, Dates processing, olive oil, coconut oil, coconut products, fruit canning & glass bottling, spreads, dried food and snacks. I have worked in productions with all the different tasks that includes within quality and food safety. In the last 3 jobs, I have been so lucky to be able to really expand my skills within overall strategic work at all levels. I have e very good holistic view and are good at understanding and connecting various stakeholders from different parts of the organization. I built trust in all my relations and am dedicated, competent, persistent, honest, communicative, detail oriented and good at making the right decisions. I respect and listen to the opinions of others and am good at finding compromises when acceptable – but never when it comes to Food Safety! I have been managing teams for the last 11+ years and am very dedicated to this. I prioritize daily walk and talks with each team member and use coaching on a daily basis to help them develop and grow in their role. I take high care and interest in my team members well-being, both professional and personal. It is important that they thrive in their role for them (and me) to succeed and give their most. I graduated from the university of Peradeniya with a BSc Honor in Food Science and Technology.
