About Sameerah Bilal-Roby

Sameerah is the Director of the Wilder African American Babies Coalition and Projects (AABC). She directs the AABC Integrated Care High Risk Pregnancy Initiative for African American Women. Planning and developing Train-The-Trainer Curriculums for AABC's community impact and revising it to concentrate more on the experts providing the training; has partnered with TPT developing PSAs for the Brains Are Built" Campaign; most notably, AABC Brains Are Built won the Upper Midwest Television Emmy Award, October 7, 2017. AABC has guided 7 cohorts of host trainers from the community coming from diverse sectors throughout metro areas. We are proud that 2020 and beyond, will add more to its roster partnering on black, brown and indigenous infant mortalities and healthy birth deliveries with several other community enterprises! She is actively participating in: Birth Equity Community Council (BECC) National Black Child Development Institute (NBCDI) St. Paul Ramsey College Bound Wayside House African American Women in Recovery Advisory Committee Minnesota Baby's First Years Little Moments Count U of M Talking About Racism Sameerah has provided clear oversight and received The Friends of the Family Award from the Minnesota Council on Family Relations (MCFR), the Pinwheel Award from Prevent Child Abuse Minnesota and the African American Heritage Calendar. With over 43 years as a childcare professional, foster parent, Executive Director of the Early Childcare Resource and Training Center, and creating the African American Babies Coalition, all which helped her develop the ability to execute the skills of business development and strategic planning. Her passion is addressing disparities, birth and economic equity, cross cultural communication, and justice. She holds expertise in Urban Development, Master ACE Trainer, and Adult Training and Early Childhood Development, with over 43 years of practice.
