About Sameh Faidi

In my current role as a Cloud Architect at Nokia, I wear many hats. I create cloud services and solutions, keep our cloud healthy with monitoring tools, and make sure it's rock-solid on the security front. I'm also a data geek! I love digging into data, using AI and machine learning, to make sense of the data in order to keep our cloud performing at its best and outsmarting potential threats. My technology toolkit includes python, openstack, Ansible, docker, kubernetes, Nokia Kubernetes Service NKS, OpenSearch, Prometheus, Grafana, Linux/Unix, machine learning libraries and tools, Airflow, JupyterHub, Power BI, PostgreSQL, MongoDB. In my previous roles in Nokia since I've worked in software development, touching almost every facet of the software lifecycle - from specifications and project management to coding, testing, delivery, customer and technical support. I have completed my Master's degree in ICT at Helsinki Metropolia university of applied science and ranked the first in my class with the highest grades (December 2018). The main focus of the master's program was big data, cloud computing and machine learning. My thesis was about using anomaly detection to find anomalous eNodeBs in telecommunication networks.
