About Sameh Saleeb

Dr. Saleeb is a public health physician with more than 30 years of public health experience providing technical assistance and management leadership to donor funded global public health programs in low and middle income (LMIC) countries. He held senior technical and managerial positions, both field and US-based, aimed at strengthening national health systems and responding to global health priorities related to maternal, neonatal and child health (MNCH); population and reproductive health; infectious diseases including HIV/AIDS, malaria and TB. For several years, he led project teams to strengthen national pharmaceutical and supply chain systems addressing issues related to medicine policies, regulation, selection, commodity procurement and logistics, capacity building, pharmaceutical services including antimicrobial resistance, rational use, and safety of medicines. He supported a number of primary and secondary health care projects in their adoption of standard practices, protocols and management guidelines to improve quality of care and to implement policy and financing reforms. He has proven experience collaborating with national programs, donors, and partners for effective program coordination, synergy creation and optimization of resources for maximum program outcomes. Dr. Saleeb has demonstrated skills in program leadership and management, program design and strategic planning; concept and proposal development; performance metrics development and implementation; scale-up and replication of evidence-based public health interventions; sustainability planning; operational and public health research; and capacity and organizational development.
