Sami has worked in variety of sectors within safety and compliance of food packaging materials. In his current position, Sami is responsible to ensure the safety of food contact materials (FCM) within Mondelez International globally by driving the Packaging Strategy for food safety, bringing in science and driving continuous improvement in our processes. Before that Sami joined a UNDP project (SAU1O/82003) in mid-2009 as FCM consultant to support the Saudi Food & Drug Authority in monitoring the safety of FCM. The first 5 years, Sami worked in an accredited laboratory in Tunisia as chemical engineer performing analytical testing on FCM according to national and international regulations. Sami holds a chemical engineer diploma in analytical chemistry and a Master degree in chemistry. Sami speaks well 3 languages (Arabic, French and English).
