About Sami Majadla

I like technology, music, & art. I like creating interesting projects in those worlds - especially where they all intersect:) I'm currently the CEO, CTO, and UX designer for CertiCraft, a project that I co-founded. We make the ridiculously tedious cannabis regulations ridiculously simple for small-to-medium businesses. I also perform & produce music under the moniker thisissami, and present shows & workshops featuring live electronic music as Inventor Live. I've been a software developer for 20+ years. I have a degree in computer science from Harvard, where I specialized in graphics & data visualization. Since my graduation from university, I have been focusing on the worlds of user experience design and web development. I have designed & built 6+ different platforms from scratch, all using Node.js, MongoDB, Redis, and various libraries, APIs, and front-end frameworks. I have also worked with large teams to help them build new features in their existing platforms. In addition to building modern highly-dynamic single page application platforms, I am also talented at creating- applications that visualize datasets in novel & useful ways - interactive web-apps that utilize alternative control mechanisms (e.g. various hardware controllers)- multimedia-heavy web-apps (I have worked extensively with audio & video streams)- installations that encourage crowd interaction - highly creative applications (both online and offline), including self-generating & crowd-generated art If you're curious about what I do musically (improvised electronic live looping), check this out:
