I am a graduate assistant at UTMB in the Human Pathophysiology and Translational Medicine (HPTM) Ph.D. program. My ongoing research is in the field of Neuroimmunology in the lab of Dr. Dustin Green, and is focused on elucidating the link between the immune response and the nervous system, in the context of pain. My current project is directed at characterizing the role of Mas-Related G Protein-Coupled Receptor (Mrgpr)B2 and MRGPRX2 expressed on mast cells in mice and humans, respectively, in neurogenic inflammation and downstream pain.
